Lucinda Riley’s Seven Sisters is a series of historical and modern romance books, that follow the adventures of siblings who must embark on trips to learn about their roots.
Maia is the protagonist of the Seven Sisters narrative. Maia was adopted, like her sisters, by an enigmatic billionaire known as Pa Salt and grew up in a life of luxury in a hidden castle on a beautiful island.
Maia had her heart broken when she was young. She plunged into solitude in an attempt to escape the pain and protect her emotions from future harm.
But then something unexpected happened. Maia’s adoptive father died, and all her sisters returned home to mourn him. What was a time of reflection took an unusual turn when the sisters discovered that Pa Salt had left them a gift. It was a clue that would direct each one of them to their true heritage. To do that, they needed to venture out into the world and out of their comfort zone.
Maia was one of the first sisters to embark on her journey to her destiny, but she was far from alone. Each novel focuses on a different sibling as she faces the trials which must be dealt with.
The series is distinctive because it combines historical fiction with contemporary romance. Lucinda Riley tells multiple stories at the same time, gradually connecting the plotlines of her heroines.

Movies based on the novels
Raffaella Productions, a Los Angeles-based production company, optioned the Seven Sisters rights in 2016. Raffaella de Laurentiis has taken an interest in adapting the book series into a television series with multiple seasons.
