Dean Koontz is an author, producer, and screenwriter from the United States. His series Jane Hawk begins with The Silent Corner. This is the first of a series about a heroine who may pique readers’ interest and go on to be a suspense legend. When a man commits suicide, his last words astound everyone, especially his wife, Jane.

Jane Hawk goes through a wide spectrum of emotions following his death. She hasn’t made up her mind about it yet, and she intends to do everything she can to find out the truth.

And it’s possible that Jane’s husband isn’t the only suspected death. Jane is starting to notice that more individuals around her seem to be committing suicide.

Jane Hawk is about to discover that she is one of America’s most wanted individuals. She has been declared a fugitive, as she embarks on her quest to discover why. People in positions of power are doing everything they can to maintain a secret so terrifying and vital that they will go to any length to keep it hidden, even if it means killing people.
