Ali Hazelwood is the pseudonym of an Italian-born romance novelist and neuroscience professor. Born and raised in Italy, Hazelwood’s journey took her through Japan and Germany before she settled in the United States to complete her Ph.D. in neuroscience. Her academic focus centered on brain stimulation and cognitive neuroscience.
Outside the laboratory, Hazelwood channeled her passion for writing, producing works that highlight women in STEM fields and academia. Her debut novel, “The Love Hypothesis,” quickly rose to acclaim, securing a spot on the New York Times bestseller list.
Outside of her writing and academic work, Hazelwood loves her three cats, enjoys Nutella, and side ponytails, and is learning to crochet. She’s also a full-time professor.
